Timothy Fleenor So recently I took my truck in for a few items. Mainly one issue was the fact that I kept getting a dead pedal and bucking. I also asked them to look at a boost leak as well as diagnosing the front end because of play in the steering and the dreaded death wobble. Well there was a ton of stuff they missed completely. They fixed the boost leak which was great and the apps sensor I put on was bad so they were able to warranty it. With that being said things were perfect. They then went on to tell me that my tuner module was bad which was causing the bucking and most of the dead pedal Part of this was only told to me, I wasn't told that they uninstalled it. Next issue was they told me that my truck was spewing a ton of oil from the front main seal and that it would be 400 to fix it which is reasonable and then the diagnosis for my front end was all 4 ball joints and a trackbar. First off with the tuner issue and the front main issue. I ended up taking the truck in because I was too busy to work on it so I hop underneath to look at things and I was definitely not spewing oil everywhere like they had stated, in fact I actually had 3 fuel leaks that they somehow completely missed. When I got it back I was still experiencing hesitation when moving from a stop. The fuel leaks 2 were injector lines that backed off a little bit and the third was a broken O-ring for the fuel filter housing. I fixed those issues and the hesitation went away completely. Then I decided to hook up my tuner and had not a single issue after that which led me to determine it was shoddy diagnostic work. Due to winter hitting soon I decided to take my truck in for new tires to a different shop that gave me a good discount on them. I told them I had the ball joints and track bar and to install them with everything and do an alignment. Well several hours later I get a phone call stating 2 of my tie rods were bad. I asked them to replace them and keep the old ones so they could show me how they were bad. When I got there they showed me how much play they had and I was appalled that they missed such a huge detail. Not only that but my front hubs are also on the way out as well which they didn't necessarily miss however, it should have been seen with the diagnosis and checking for front end wear. Needless to say I will not be back to this shop again. Their diagnosis was far from good and they missed a lot of key items. I feel they were exceptionally dishonest with me and I will not tolerate dishonesty.

tim petti These guys are great. Honest, dependable, and they keep you posted on updates to the work being done. I had an I.P.R. valve replaced on my 2005 F350 6.0 and had it back the next day. Runs like a new truck. I am definitely using these guys for the stuff I can't do on this truck.

Sierra Grande They worked on my custom truck. I have an old Suburban with a transplant GM diesel and transmission. I called a few shops and nobody seemed to want to work on it. paul johnson Was the first place that actual found where my oil was leaking from. Did a big job of front seal, oil pan and rear main seal with other small sryff that was bad. Upfront about prices. Joshua was very friendly and forward about about anything. Had a bad icp sensor after getting the truck back. Joshua took care of the issue with no questuons asked. Will return for engine issues I don't want to do on my own. And the only place that told me other issues that needed to be taken of unlike other places that can barely function with taking your money for work not needed

Patricia ONeil The folks at Patterson Custom Diesel were great. They did diagnostics on my truck, found and fixed some air leaks and rear differential leaks. Also found severely worn differential gears. They treated me extremely fair and now fixed my AC issues. Marcus Budzeak So I had some issues with this truck, some of the work they did was preventable work, and I found that my steering box was in disarray, they were unable to do any alignment with new tires without getting my steering box changed, at first when I got the truck back, I felt like it was worse! After a while of driving it, I figured out that the steering was just fine Needed to get used to a heavier duty steering box. I know they found different things for me to fix that brought my bill way up, but on my truck being about 20 years old I’m not surprised, they educated me about certain things like tuners and how they effect my truck. I received some hail damage with my truck being there for about 2 weeks, I was hoping I was gonna get my truck back sooner but that’s all right. It is in the middle of the hail line I was really upset about that because the truck I used to have was damn near immaculate with a 2 year old paint job and this truck has been in the family since it was off the Lot 2004, like I said, I was very disappointed with my hail damage maybe something for the owner to think about maybe parking cover ? I don’t think I want to leave my truck there anymore and receive more hail damage but I do recommend them to work on your vehicle. They have a great team and a very knowledgeable staff, yet it would’ve been nicer to have my truck sooner and possibly avoid that damage. I hope for the next person looking to take their truck here to take in account this because hail damage is on owner’s expense which I do understand. It’s just too bad because this truck was very nice and now it has permanent damage. Do what you must with this info. But there is nothing bad to say about the work, I had it inspected by my buddy who works for the state fixing diesel trucks, he told me that all the work looked great!

Ma B Highly recommend didnt think to ask for a price b4 setting up an appointment for my 6.7 cummins water pump and thermostat. Wanted over 800 for labor alone. I provided pump thermostat belt and coolant Luckily got my keys back and got a prices from another diesel- shops 280-470$. Had high hope for this shop what a shame.

For this reason I am too distrustful when it comes to the maintenance of my truck and I have had to learn by myself to solve several things without being a mechanic. Thanks to a friend who told me about Patterson Custom Diesel (PCD) I decided to go in person and try to see the place for more information and can exchange information and knowledge directly with the owner of the place JARED. After 30 minutes of conversation and brainstorming I was able to confirm that my truck could be inspected by their group of technicians. The best decision in 12 years, I would surely return for any other maintenance. Modestly and in my personal opinion. Jarrod Elder One of the worst customer service interactions that I have experienced. They had my truck for 13 days before I got a call saying what they had found but no mention of what it would cost to fix it. I went to pick it up and was charged for the diagnostic. Not a word about the problems detected, prices to fix detected issues or anything at all. They handed me my warranty paperwork and asked me to sign a receipt and that was the extent of the interaction. Our receipt says “customer declined repairs.” Nobody offered to repair it. I was told that they were not able to replicate the issue of my truck emitting white smoke from the exhaust but it happened again before I even got to Constitution and Powers. I will definitely be taking my truck to another shop. $139 for absolutely nothing.

I’m spangladesh Had my truck towed because it would not start. Thinking it was the FICM I had it troubleshot by them. They called me the next day and said it was the alternator, they also said a rubber bushing hold up my axel or drive shaft was toast. I asked if that was important and they told me yes. I asked how much and they said $1900. I asked if they could just do the bushing because I could change the alternator it’s on top of engine on this truck. I told them I would still pay for the diagnostic. He said he was the manager and asked what’s the issue. I told him that seemed high. He said I tell you what I will do both for $1500. Not sure how to change that myself I told them ok, let’s just do both and I thanked him. The next day they called that my truck was ready. When I went to pick it up they said it was $1,000.00. Confused I looked at the paperwork and it said alternator. I said I thought you all were changing that bushing or gasket and he said oh, you said wait on that. Then he said there are other things on the truck that I should take care of first! So they got me for $1000 for an alternator that is on top of engine and had a kickstand to make it even easier and probably took 30 mins at the longest. As o drove home I felt they pulled one. I would have done it myself if it was the alternator but agreed for them to change that with the other thing they stated was important.

DRFTR 1 Had to take my LLY in to get all new wireing harnesses due to a couple rogue squirrels, I was very happy with the timeliness and knowledge of everybody that works there.

DISOP tv Took my 2006 F260 PSD 6.0 to PCD last week for a BPD oil cooler and EGR. They completed the work quickly and at a good rate! They found a few other minor issues while apart - common to this motor - all fixed and turbo cleaned. I checked things out and they even fixed my sagging wiring loom that hangs from the cowl! Very nice and they appear to be meticulous about their work! I would recommend them! It's good to find a shop that cares and enjoys their work! Thanks again guys!

Chris S If at all possible I would recommend you avoid this place. I am sure they are great at installing air filters, exhaust pipes...basically anything you could do yourself in a weekend. I brought my 7.3 power stroke to them for a multitude of issues I had. I had a Huge loss of power while pulling my 5'er. I had cracked the spider on top of the vally and they replaced it...after they cracked the replacement they sold me at discount so they could charge me full price on another(they were reluctant to refund me the price of the stock one they were responsible for cracking, but at least in the end they did). I Also had a rattle in the rear end that I thought may be a wheel bearing...they told me it was U joints and carrier bearing. I did not have the time to do it myself so I paid their exaggerated prices for labor time to do the job. That took them forever to do! I Took it home after a very long time of it sitting in their lot waiting for them to get around to completing the task. I drove it the next day and the rattle was still there. Now remind you I already paid for the diagnostic cost for them to tell Me what the heck was going on ($120) and the other work to fix this problem...so when I called and told them about the rattle they questioned me on it as if I was making it up. Then when I told them I need them to take it back the truly assess the issue they told me they were busy and it would be a while before I could bring it in. So a week or so goes by I got them to take it in. When I dropped it off on a Wednesday (they told me to bring it in that day) they informed me there were multiple people in front of me and it would be a while before they could get to it! I informed them I should be In front of all those people because I paid for a diagnostic they failed to complete. They basically told me they didn't care. So again it sat in the lot for a week even after I told them I needed it by Friday and they agreed to this timeline. When they called and told me they found the source of the noise and that it was the hub cap...yea, a weld had broke on the cap, and that they were not going to charge me I laughed because they already did (and then some) by telling me it was the U joints and carrier bearing. So in closing, even though this place is a diesel performance shop it is obvious they seem to only want to install basic performance parts at an outrageous price.

They even went out of their way to reroute some of my backyard mechanic electrical to the correct location when installing a Fass system. These guys are the real deal with the best customer service I’ve ever experienced from a shop. I won’t take my truck anywhere else moving forward. 10/10 recommend

They nickel and dime you. We have no idea when and or if the truck will ever get fixed. This is ridiculous! Something’s gotta give here…WANT OUR TRUCK BACK!! No more excuses! Don’t take your truck here!

For example My truck would start I tried new batteries still wouldn't so, I called Patterson told them what was going on over the phone they walked me through a couple of steps to get it started not only did they save me $100 tow bill to the shop but I was still able to make it to work on time. It is so refreshing to experience the same care and service from a fellow small business owner, especially being 2+ hours away from their location. Although I did not deal with the owner directly, the two or three staff members that I did deal with went above and beyond to help us. alan mason A guy by the name of spine left these guys a bad review. He he towed my truck in and didnt seem to bright. I had to notify him the chains on the back of the truck were loose. Also had to tell him the strap on front driver side was loose. I bought the truck from family and they have always taken it to patterson custom diesel because they trust them. I have been bringing the truck to them for any issues. They are up front honest and take care of their customers. Strongley recomend.
